MARIESCHI, Michele, berühmter venezianischer
Landschafts-, Architektur-, Theatermaler und Radierer. Seine Veduten
zeichnen sich im Gegensatz zu den Werken seiner Zeitgenossen Canaletto und
Bellotto durch reiche Theatralität aus und sind mit phantasievollen
Architekturstudien angereichert. Marieschi war vorübergehend als
Prospekt-und Theatermaler in München und Dresden tätig. 1736 wurde er in
Venedig Mitglied in der Künstlergilde. Großen Ruhm erlangte er mit der 1741
publizierten Sammlung von Radierungen mit Ansichten der venezianischen
Sehenswürdigkeiten (Magnificentiores selectioresque Urbis Venetiarum
prospectus). |

MARIESCHI, Michele, famous venetian painter and etcher
of landscapes and architecture. His views are rich in character and very
imaginative. Marieschi temporarily worked in Munich and Dresden. 1736 he became a member of the Guild of Painters in Venice. He gained great fame with the collection of etchings with views of the venetian attractions, published 1741. (Magnificentiores selectioresque Urbis Venetiarum prospectus). FRANCESCHINI, Marcantonio, born in Bologna, one of the most famous artists of his time. Student of Carlo Cignani. Franceschini is considered an important baroque painter, he painted numerous frescos and oil paintings. (Church Corpus Domini in Bologna). His clients among others were the Pope and the King of Poland. Franceschini belonged to the founders of Accad. Clementina in Bologna. ZOCCHI, Giuseppe, born 1711 in Florence, died 1767 in Florence. Painter and engraver, the views of the city of Florence are considered his masterpiece. |
